MEET THE TEAM

CATHERINE is a writer and graphic artist specializing in book cover designs and children’s book artwork. Her poetry and short stories are featured in Apricity Magazine, El Portal, The MacGuffin, Mount Hope Magazine, Plainsongs, Presence: A Journal of Catholic Poetry, and Slippery Elm, among others.

In her latest professional endeavor, she worked as a publishing assistant and lead designer, creating print and eBook covers, as well as author website designs. She has a BA in English from Caldwell University where she was a three-time recipient of the “Excellence in Writing Award” and was awarded the English Departmental Award for “Outstanding Achievement and Highest GPA.”

Catherine and her husband live in New Jersey with their beautiful daughter, as well as a cat and dog perpetually at odds with one another. You’ll likely find her at your local Sephora or Ulta Beauty.

DAVID brings over nine years of experience in publishing assistance, starting in 2015, where he has helped clients find markets for their work and researched journals and literary agencies. Since 2006, he has also accumulated over 19 years of experience in IT support and web design, making him a skilled troubleshooter and creative web designer.

Outside of work, David enjoys spending time with his son, biking, hiking, and chatting with friends over books and recipes.

ERINN has a BFA in Creative Writing from the University of North Carolina – Wilmington with a concentration in creative nonfiction. She’s served on the editorial board for Chautauqua in the past and has been a reader for The Common since July 2022. She’s helped dozens of authors successfully self-publish their books, and she has six years of experience helping writers get published in literary journals and/or sign with agents.

Her home office includes a built-in assistant in the form of her elderly, sleepy dog, who can occasionally be heard snoring in the background on calls (for which she apologizes in advance).

JOEY is a creative professional with a decade of experience in digital marketing and content creation. His passion for storytelling drives his excellence in photography, video editing, and writing. Whether producing captivating infographics, developing a video series, or diving into social media analytics, Joey transforms complex ideas into content that resonates.

Continually inspired by changemakers, filmmakers, musicians, and the world of creative writing, Joey is dedicated to bringing authors‘ creative visions to a wider audience. For him, it‘s not just about content; it‘s about making connections, creating impact, and celebrating the narrative in every story.

As a seasoned submission specialist, VINCENT (call him Vince!) thrives on building strong connections between organizations and their valued clients. With a passion for exceptional service, he ensures seamless communication, addresses concerns, and fosters lasting partnerships. Vince’s mission? JARED has more than half a decade’s experience in writing, editing, English tutoring, Writing Center operations, creating writing and editing guides, and tutoring English as a Second Language. With over 3,000 edited papers across all fields of research and several awards for his tutoring work as well as a BA in English with a focus in Writing Studies from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Jared is a storied bookworm and tutor. He enjoys flash fiction and life story narratives.

In his free time, Jared enjoys live concerts, swimming, old-school video games, and spending time with his cat.

KAYLA has years of experience helping writers get their works published in literary and online journals beginning in 2021. She previously read for Bodega with the assistance (in the form of cuddles and supportive snores) of her cat, Pickle. In the past, Kayla has also assisted in the design and creation of several author websites.

In her free time, Kayla enjoys reading, writing, crocheting, and cross stitching.

SHANNON received her Bachelor’s Degree with a focus in creative and professional writing from Manhattanville University. She has been working in the publishing industry since 2016 as a submission specialist to guide hundreds of clients to publish their work or find an agent. In her many years of experience, she has worked with poetry, short stories, personal essays, and novels. She is a fiction writer who also has editorial experience for literary and pop-culture magazines.

In her free time, she is an avid tennis player, practices aerial arts, and volunteers as a Reading Buddy at her local library.

TIFFANY received a BFA in English with a concentration in Creative Writing from Georgia State University. She has experience helping writers navigate the publishing world as a client liaison.
